Lula Landry fell to her death from her apartment balcony on a cold winter night. The police said it was suicide. Her brother doesn’t believe so. He hires private investigator, Cormoran Strike to investigate her death. With the help of his new assistant, Robin, Strike is determined to discover the truth.
Galbraith aka JK Rowling did an amazing job breaking into this genre. The characters were incredibly engaging and diverse. The story itself was quite the puzzling mystery! I didn’t see what was coming until the very end!
I enjoyed Cormoran Strike as a character. Former army police, he has background in investigating cases like this. It isn’t just some hack opening a business. He definitely was something different.
Robin was a very engaging character as well. She was very efficient and eager to learn more about the job and to prove that she is capable of doing the work.
Overall it was a very solid book.
