Jack Morgan was a marine until an attack left him injured. Leaving the marines, Jack decided to take over his fathers private investigating business for the rich and the famous. His dynamic team of investigators are working on three cases:
- The Schoolgirl Murders- twelve girls over two years, each girl murdered a different way
- An NFL scheme to throw/alter games
- Shelby, a friend of Jack’s, who was married to Jack’s best friend, was murdered
I really enjoyed reading this book. James Patterson is known for his detective novels and it was a bit refreshing to have characters who work in the private sector. They could work outside the confines of the law and get things done in a more efficient way. I also enjoyed how the clients were high profile people, it added a bit more mystery to the whole story.
Once again, Patterson has created a fantastic story with unexpected twists and turns. I’m looking forward to reading the second book in the series!
