Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 book to movie adaptations I’m looking forward to/still have to see

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted each week by The Broke and the Bookish

This weeks topic is: Top 10 book to movie adaptations I’m looking forward to/still have to see.

Adaptations I’m looking forward to:

  1) Looking for Alaska by John Green- scheduled to become a movie in 2016, this is my favorite John Green book and I cannot wait to see it as a movie! They need to cast this well!

  2) The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson- I’m not sure when this is scheduled to be released in theaters, they have only casted one character to my knowledge, but it’s an incredibly interesting story and I am excited to see it as a movie!

  3) The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey- scheduled to be released later this year, I am so excited to see what they did with the book! I’m not expecting this one to be the same as the book because the waves will need some explanation but I hope the rest is accurate!
  4) Allegiant by Veronica Roth- I’m not looking forward to this because I think it’ll be similar to the book. I know it won’t. They so royally screwed up Insurgent I have  no hope for this movie being accurate. That being said, I can’t deny I’m curious to see what happens next.
Books I want to see be made into movies (not quite the other half of the title but I couldn’t come up with enough for 10 then):

  5) The Cormoran Strike novels by Robert Galbraith – I love a good detective story and these are good detective stories that could make fantastic movies.

  6) The Selection by Kiera Cass- I think these books could make for some super cute and lighthearted movies! Total chick movies but they would be good.
  7) The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer- I can’t be the only one here. I think these books would make really cool movies, as long as they stay accurate to the books!!
  8) Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs- it’s such a fun and adventurous story and could make for a great movie series!
  9) Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige- even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the book I can’t deny it would make a cool movie. Who wouldn’t enjoy a new spin on a classic?
  10) Splintered by AG Howard- a dark and twisted version of Wonderland that isn’t even close to the Wonderland we know and love … Yes please!
What books do you most want to see turned into movies?

    1. I’m a sucker for a good detective story and the Cormoran Strike books have been amazing so far! If they don’t get turned into movies I hope the BBC buys the rights to turn them into a tv series or mini series!
