Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff; 599 pages

BeiTech has attacked the planet Kerenza…

Survivors loaded onto 3 ships: Alexander, Hypatia, and Copernicus ….

Civilians being conscripted into army- too many holes to fill not too…

AIDEN had malfunctioned… Copernicus is lost ….

I absolutely loved the format of this book! It was so original and so unique! It made the story so much more fun to read! I loved that you were reading a compiled file of all the recovered documents relating to what happened on those ships. There was just something about it all that made the story that much more intriguing.

And the storyline itself was good to begin with. Trapped in space with a rouge AI machine and a disease that is running rampant. So cool.

Such a great book, I highly recommend it!

  1. It’s such a good book! And the best thing about it is how its brilliance sneaks up on you. You’re trucking along happily for a while thinking, “This is pretty good” and then all of a sudden you’re trying to cook with one hand while holding the book open with the other because you can’t put it down! 🙂

    1. Haha you accurately described my cooking adventures while reading it! I would sometimes use the ingredients to weigh down the pages if I couldn’t hold them open! I cannot wait for the next book, I’m so excited to see what they do with it!
