Possible spoilers below. You’ve been warned so if you haven’t read the first book I recommend not reading this review.
Only six girls remain. Maxon has his eyes set on America but America is unsure. To make matters worse she has to see Aspen on a regular basis and he wants her back.
America has a decision to make.
Does she go with the loving and kind prince or does she go back to the man who broke her heart?
I loved this book!! I’ve said it before but I love our two main characters! America is so relatable, in my opinion. I just feel like I can connect with her in so many different ways! And Maxon is just so adorable! I know how conflicted he is about everything that goes on in the book and I really feel for him with everything that is going on during the book. The only character I cannot stand is Aspen. The things he says to America can be so awful but she doesn’t notice because of how subtle they are. I just wanted to shake her for ever considering going back to him! Don’t trust a man who tells you wholeheartedly that you cannot do something.
The ending made up for so much though! I was squealing with joy as I was reading the last few chapters. It just made me so happy and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!!
I’m planning on making The One my Valentine’s Day read! Hopefully it’s a good choice!!
