Spoilers from the first book and the movie so if you haven’t read the book or seen the movie I recommend not reading this review.
After Evan blew up Camp Haven, the rest of the group hunkers down in an old hotel meant to be the rendezvous spot for Evan and Cassie. The longer they wait the more anxious the group gets. So, Ringer sets out to scout out a more secure location for everyone.
Meanwhile, Evan has been injured and found by a fellow Silencer. His goal now, get away from the Silencer and find Cassie.
I love Yancey’s writing style in these books. I love how vague it can be at times, it allows you to form your own conclusions and make guesses. At the same time, you have to remember that these books are vague. Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what he is talking about or what is necessarily going on.
I enjoyed him brining in Ringer’s POV in this book. I’m still not sold on her as a character but it was interesting to know what she was thinking and what was happening with her after she split up from the group. It made it interesting.
I really did enjoy the book though. I thought it was really good.
