Deadpool: Movie Review

I would like to start off this review by saying that I had no intention of seeing this movie when I first started seeing previews for it. Yes, I love Marvel movies but something about it made me want to wait to see it. I was planning on going after it had been out for a while or waiting until it was on dvd.

Then it came out and I started seeing post all over social media from disgruntled moms. Things along the lines of

Really disappointed right now. Took my 9 year old to see Deadpool and had to leave after the first 10 minutes. Wish they would have warned us how inappropriate it was for kids!

Oh, you mean like with an R rating? These post had me so curious! So I changed my mind and decided to go see it with one of my best friends and I am so glad I did!

SPOILER ALERT: It really is as inappropriate as they say it is! Seriously, after seeing the R rating and seeing why it was given that rating I couldn’t believe parents still took their children to see it!

On to the movie.

I loved it. It was hilarious, incredibly graphic, and so unique. Because it’s not a super hero movie!

Ryan Reynolds did a fantastic job as Deadpool! He really was perfect for that role and I can’t imagine anyone else playing that part!

I loved all the hidden references to other Marvel movies, jokes made about the people in the movie, jokes made about the movie itself during the movie … Even the opening credits were hilarious! The humor was sexual and dark and just so good. The action scenes were so awesome and so violent. Stan Lee had a fantastic cameo. There was lots of nudity in this movie. I also loved how Deadpool talks to the audience during the movie.

Oh, and don’t forget to stay until after the credits are done rolling!! I mean, this is a Marvel movie so I shouldn’t have to tell you that but I will anyway.

Rating: πŸ–•πŸ»πŸ–•πŸ»πŸ–•πŸ»πŸ–•πŸ»πŸ–•πŸ» (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 as a more appropriate rating)

I really hope this movie gets a sequel!

  1. It wouldn’t be Deadpool if it wasn’t R rated, I am surprised about all the parents taking their kids to see it, just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Can’t wait to see it btw I have been really looking forward to it πŸ™‚
