Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books to Read if You’re in the Mood for X

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted each week by The Broke and the Bookish and this weeks topic is top ten books to read if you’re in the mood for X.

Here’s my top 10 books if you’re in the mood for a good fantasy book.

   1) Harry Potter
 2) The Lunar Chronicles

   3) A Game of Thrones
 4) Passenger

   5) Red Queen
 6) Illuminae (a bit more scifi with this one)

   7) A Court of Thorns and Roses
 8) The Eye of Minds (also kinda scifi)

   9) Splintered
 10) The Hobbit

   11) Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children
 12) An Ember in the Ashes

  13) Percy Jackson

What are some of your favorite fantasy books?

Also, I’m bad at figuring out genres and was too lazy to look them up on Goodreads for this so if they don’t fall under the genre … My bad

      1. The only time the genre thing really bothers me is when I’m looking for something paranormal to read. Because it would appear anymore that paranormal means romance…and that just isn’t so!! Grr.

      2. That would be so annoying! I feel like there’s a romantic angle to every book now. What happened to the good old adventure stories where you could get through a whole book without someone’s heart racing because he/she gave him a seductive look? lol

      3. I honestly couldn’t even tell you the last book I read without any sort of romantic angle. The book I’m reading now hasn’t been bad, just racing hearts to this point and I’m hoping it doesn’t go too much further into that angle
