Don’t Judge a Book By Its Cover

I know I said Part 2 of this post would come out a while back but I got distracted by other topics and awards, etc and forgot! It’s awful of me, I know. But I’m ready for part 2!

And this time we really aren’t judging books by their cover. Instead of grading covers I’m going to list some books that I think have pretty awful covers but I absolutely loved!

The Michael Bennett series by James Patterson … I hate the covers on these books. But this series …. It’s so amazing!!

This might be an unpopular opinion but I’m not a huge fan of the covers for the ACOTAR series …… Mostly because I’m not a fan of people on the covers of books. But I adore these books! They are so amazing!

The Selection is another series that I kinda hedged away from because of the covers. I’m not one for cutesy covers so the idea of ball gowns and flashy covers didn’t appeal to me. But holy guacamole I loved this series!

I have a love hate relationship with the covers to the Splintered series. I love the colors and the nature aspects but, like I’ve said before, I’m not a fan of people on the covers… But I love what’s between the covers so it makes up for it!

Any books come to mind for you?

  1. I admit sometimes I won’t pick up a book just because of its cover. For example, I would never choose The Selection. I have no idea what it is about, but the cover only tells me it doesn’t need a room on my shelves. It’s too bad because I am sure I miss many great books this way.
