Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by JK Rowling

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by JK Rowling; 294 pages

Newt Scamander has come to New York City with a case full of magical creatures. After some escape, he must hurry up and find them before they can be accused of causing the mayhem currently taking place on the streets of NYC.

My thoughts:

First: I highly recommend seeing the movie before reading the screenplay! It made reading it so much more fun because I could picture the scenes in my mind and almost hear the characters reciting the lines. And the casting in the movie was phenomenal (except one minor hiccup).

Second: I loved the storyline. It was exactly what I hoped more stories about the wizarding world would include! And it’s so exciting to learn about the American version of things! I hope there’s more to it! I am really looking forward to seeing where they go with this story. It all sounds like it’s going to be so exciting!

Rating (book and movie): 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
