Bone Gap is a small farming town where not much happens. But then Roza appeared in Sean and Finn’s lives and brightened everything. And then she was gone. The town thought she had moved on but Finn knew better. Roza had been kidnapped and no one was looking for her.
Not gonna lie, I was super confused about what was going on for a good portion of the book. I kept trying to figure out how Finn and Peter and the magical horse were going to tie into the kidnapping of Roza who’s being held in a castle with a moat… in Illinois? In fact, they kinda portray this book as a mystery, kinda like a Nancy Drew book where the teenagers are trying to solve the crime but this was a whole new level of weird. It was all cleared up in the end but it was all kinda trippy. I wanted to love this book because I know people who loved it. But it wasn’t anything special in my opinion and I’m not planning on reading anything by this author in the near future.
