The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan

The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo Book 1) by Rick Riordan; 361 pages

Apollo has been cast out of Olympus by Zeus. This is the third time he has been made mortal and he has never been more mortal than now. He meets a young demigod named Meg and together they go to Camp Half Blood. There, Apollo finds out that prophecies still aren’t working and campers are going missing.

My thoughts:

Rick Riordan can do no wrong with his books. And they just keep getting more and more funny. I loved the haikus at the start of every chapter! Hilarious!

Apollo is a solid character. He’s a little conceited… okay, a lot conceited and the cockiness could be a little over the top at times. But he was funny and when push came to shove he got shit done.

But omg the ending! I am so excited because of the character Riordan brought back at the end to go on the quests with Apollo!! That just makes me even more excited to keep reading the series! I wasn’t sure where he series was going to go at first, especially with the way this first book went but now I’m excited to see what happens next!
