The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan

The Dark Prophecy (The Trials of Apollo Book 2) by Rick Riordan; 401 pages

WARNING: Review will contain spoilers from the first book in the series!! Read at your own risk!!

Summary:

Apollo, Calypso, and Leonard searching for the second oracle. Their search takes them to Indianapolis where they must take back the Cave of Trophonius. But that is not their only task. They must also help two former Hunters of Artemis find their daughter.

My thought:

I thought this book was way better than the first book. I really liked the addition of Leo and Calypso to the story. It definitely made it more fun and I think it helped to humble Apollo at times. Apollo definitely got better as a character in this book. He could be really obnoxious at times in the first book.

The return of Meg was great too. Talk about a character who could humble Apollo. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with them in the future. She’s such a great character because she’s so indifferent and cold.

The monsters were pretty entertaining in this book too. You have an insane former emperor who’s an ego maniac. And you have super polite monsters who are trying to kill everyone. It was all very entertaining to read about.

I really can’t wait for the next book to come out!
