The Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan

The Ship of the Dead (Magnus Chase Book 3) by Rick Riordan; 410 pages

Loki is attempting to start Ranarok. It’s up to Magnus and the crew from floor 19 to stop him. In order to do that, Magnus must beat Loki in a flyting, a battle of insults, but with his silver tongue, Loki will be hard to beat.

My thoughts:

Another really interesting take on Ragnarok in 2017. Although this one was about preventing it from starting in the first place.

Like the first two books, I found this one to be incredibly entertaining. The chapter titles were hilarious as always. The book was the perfect combination of witty, funny, sarcastic, and adventurous. And, as usual, Jack the talking sword was probably my favorite character.

I really wish there was going to be more books in this series. It has definitely been one of my favorites to read. I love the characters and all the different worlds. I just feel like there’s so much more that could be done. I hope we get to see these characters again.
