Origin by Dan Brown

Origin by Dan Brown; 458 pages

Summary:

Professor Robert Langdon just received a mysterious invitation from a close friend to attend a presentation in the famous Guggenheim Museum in Spain. Scientist Edmond Kirsch has made the discovery of a lifetime, one that will rock the foundations of world religions. During the middle of his presentation, Kirsch is murdered. Now it is up to Langdon to reveal his presentation to the world.

My thoughts:

I absolutely loved this book! It was so riveting! I didn’t want to put it down.

This book was focused on the two major philosophical questions: “Where do we come from?” “Where are we going?”

The lead up to the presentation had me totally captivated, I just had to know what it was going to be. I was so distraught when I realized I was going to have to wait until the end of the book to find out what it was. But it was worth the wait because I thought the whole thing was totally wild.

Some parts of these books are starting to become totally cliche, like Langdon always working with a beautiful woman. Why can’t it be an attractive man for once? But that’s really my only complaint.

I really hope he writes another book though!
